RANGERS FOR ROAD SAFETY

Lazy Rangers Motorcyclists Confederation (LRMC), an NGO based in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai carried out a large campaign in Kharghar to promote road safety and compliance with traffic rules. This campaign was done to support the Navi Mumbai police under their ongoing initiatives for National Road Safety Month.

More than 30 volunteers from LRMC participated in "One Day with Police" programme organized by Navi Mumbai police. LRMC volunteers participated on Saturday, 6th February and Sunday, 7th February.

The volunteers worked under the guidance and direction of the police officials. People who were found violating traffic rules were politely stopped and made aware about the importance of road safety and traffic rules.

Also, people who were seen following the traffic rules (for example, wearing helmet, wearing seat belt, stopping before zebra crossing, etc.) were given a thank you note from the police and also a badge of appreciation from LRMC for being a responsible citizen.

LRMC has adopted the slogan "Majhe Kharghar, Majhi Jababdari" and is aiming to make Kharghar a safe and traffic violation free zone. LRMC plans to keep on volunteering for such efforts under the guidance and direction of the officials and to serve and support the citizens of Kharghar.
